Emergency.lu Coordinator

Born in 1980, Gilles studied telecommunication electronics and worked for a telecom provider in Luxembourg for ten years.

Gilles joined the Luxembourg Civil Protection Humanitarian Intervention team as a volunteer in 2007 and was deployed for the first emergency.lu mission to South Sudan in 2012.

Since then, he deployed to several mission in support of the Emergency Telecommunication Cluster; amongst others to the Philippines for the Typhoon Haiyan response, Ebola response in West Africa, and the Nepal Earthquake 2015.

Since 2013, Gilles is working as the emergency.lu coordinator within the Luxembourg Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs.
