Orange Silicon Valley
Senior Technology Analyst
San Francisco Bay Area
Data, resources to draw insights from those data, and those who can apply those insights for social impact often all reside in different organizations. I’m interested in developing better ways to bring together the diverse data assets that reside in the private sector and to partner around those data in ways that can create both commercial and social value.

Dr. Mark Peterson is a Senior Technology Analyst with the San Francisco office of Orange, a global telecom provider, and currently focused on improving data discovery, data sharing, and data rights management at the enterprise level. Previously, he founded and led the Data and Analytics team at the US Agency for International Development. Prior to joining USAID, Mark was a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), shaping strategy and operations in global health, pharmaceuticals, and education. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of California, San Francisco.
